Hand Painted Cornhole Boards

Hand Painted Cornhole Boards

This is rapidly growing in popularity. It's known as cornhole, bag toss, bags, and baggo. Its a great game for family gatherings, reunions, weddings, and with friends. There are cornhole tournaments held for those who enjoy the sport. My husband enjoys making the boards and he does an excellent job. They are some of the best Ive seen. I help him paint the logos on the boards.

I have been so busy this week painting. I finished two paintings and hand painted a team logo on some cornhole boards for my husband. I knew I would enjoy painting the logo but I didn't think it would take me as long as it did. Cornhole boards contain a set of two and anyone who knows anything about free hand painting knows no two paintings can be identical. I had to paint the Michigan logo on each board and free hand the actual word Michigan. This is how the two turned out. I was happy with the finished product.
My husband purchases the wood and makes the two boards by hand. This game is a growing sport. You can see some of his other boards on his etsy at JosersCustomCornhole if you are interested in knowing more. I am now the commissioned painter.
Why is a hand painted logo better than a decal? A hand painted logo doesn't fade and in time a decal becomes discolored and fades. The paint is harder to match when using a decal and if hand painted the same paint can be used on the whole board.
